National Anxiety Disorders Screening Day was upon us.  Let this month be the month to get screened for anxiety disorders.

Anxiety disorders have become more prevalent in the population of adults ages 65 years old and younger, according to an article posted on, "NBC News Website."  However, we all could be affected by anxiety at any age and it is important to get screened sooner rather than later to start on your healing journey.

Screening can be done easily with a medical physician by filling out a simple questionnaire to describe times, or situations, in your life that may have affected mood changes.  After a clinical review of your answers, the doctor may recommend medication.  In some situations, counseling may be offered with medication treatment to help with any irregularities.

Being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder may be the beginning of a healing journey requiring medical help.  Some disorders have side effects such as tiredness or lack of motivation to complete projects.  Even the simplest of tasks around the house may feel overwhelming.   This is when it is important to look to your local home health agencies to send a provider to help with daily tasks such as cleaning and organizing the home or for companionship.  Having daily assistance with a home health care provider in our home may have benefits in helping deal with anxiety disorders.

The start to a better future, may be as simple as setting an appointment with your primary physician for screening.  Talk to friends and family about the importance of getting screened for anxiety disorders.  Should you need assistance with any home health needs in El Paso, TX, Proveedoras De Luz Home Health can help.
